How Much Is a Fully Loaded 2022 Chevy Traverse?
A fully loaded 2022 Chevrolet Traverse is an excellent option for anyone looking for a safe, affordable SUV. The LS trim is the base model, which starts at $35,095. Five different trim levels make up the Chevy Traverse, which eventually tops out at the High Country. Though it is the most expensive trim level, it comes with a ton of exclusives and starts just higher than the Premier trim. Here’s how much a fully loaded 2022 Chevy Traverse three-row midsize SUV costs and what features come with it.
How much is a 2022 Chevy Traverse High Country?

As with many models in the Chevy lineup, High Country is the highest Traverse trim. The name is now a staple for Chevrolet vehicles, often representing each model’s most expensive, well-equipped version. Moreover, it’s the same for the midsize three-row SUV, which costs $52,545 for a standard High Country model. Slotted just above the Premier trim, the price difference is significant. The second-highest model in the lineup starts at $47,495.
The fully loaded Traverse supplies a surprising amount of value for that price. Many similarly-sized models are more expensive or don’t have the standard features of the Chevy SUV.
What comes with a fully loaded Traverse?

A fully loaded 2022 Chevy Traverse isn’t outrageously expensive. However, does that mean the midsize three-row model isn’t well-equipped, either? According to Edmunds, every version of the SUV uses the same 3.6-liter V6 engine. It’s good for 310 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque and is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. Additionally, front-wheel drive is standard for all trim levels, but any version can get all-wheel drive for a fee.
Although the High Country trim has all the important features from lower models, it doesn’t add a lot of exclusives. New items owners get with their fully-loaded model that aren’t available to others include trailering enhancements, a panoramic sunroof, and a power-folding third-row seat. Other than these features, the Traverse offers the rest of its best features in the Premier trim and LT Premium package.
For example, the Premier model gets excellent upgrades like a hands-free liftgate, a power-adjustable steering wheel, ventilated and heated front seats, and memory settings for the driver’s seat, steering wheel, and exterior mirrors. Alternatively, customers can get the LT trim with the LT Premium package, which includes highlights like a heated steering wheel, remote engine start, navigation, a digital rearview mirror, and a 360-degree camera system.
Is a fully loaded 2022 Chevy Traverse worth it?
Overall, we wouldn’t recommend the fully loaded 2022 Chevy Traverse High Country. The features included with this model are excellent, and the price isn’t too bad. However, the best of the Traverse comes in lower trims. Since any model can get AWD and all use the same engine, it’s all about the features. Buying an LT model with the LT Premium package is much more cost-efficient and provides a lot more value. For $37,545 plus extras, the Traverse LT is far more affordable than the High Country for over $52,000.
Experts like Car and Driver and Edmunds recommend the LT trim. As the mid-range model, the value for the price far exceeds even the fully loaded version. “The mid-range LT model represents the best value among the Traverse’s five-trim lineup,” C/D said. We can’t help but agree that the most costly version of this popular midsize three-row SUV isn’t the best choice.
