I was looking at a list of trucks to find the option with the most reliable turbo-four engine, only to be surprised. The truck with the best score is a total underdog that might deserve more respect. It even beats the Ford Maverick.

What truck has the most reliable turbo-four engine?

The truck with the most reliable turbo-four engine is the 2024 Hyundai Santa Cruz. Are you surprised? This truck doesn’t get nearly the same amount of attention as the Ford Maverick or Toyota Tacoma.

According to J.D.Power, the Santa Cruz has a reliability rating of 87 out of 100, which is great. Scores between 70 and 80 are average, while scores between 81 and 90 are above average. Anything between 91 and 100 is best.

The 2024 Ford Maverick is pretty high on the list. It earned a reliability score of 85. While, it’s only two points behind, if you aren’t first, you’re last. Also, the Maverick had seven recalls in 2024 and the Santa Cruz only had one.

Also, the 2024 Toyota Tacoma earned a score of 79. However, I feel like it’s a little early to judge the new engine.
