As you know, the government is in the process of being completely reworked to save money and cut losses. However, Trump plans to purchase $400 million worth of armored Tesla Cybertrucks and the documents feel a bit sneaky.

Trump administration set to purchase $400 million with of armored Tesla Cybertrucks

Forget about security contracts with General Motors for armored vehicles like the Beast. The Trump administration has decided to go with electric trucks instead.

A new State Department document detailing procurement for fiscal year 2025 details the plan to purchase $400 million worth of armored Tesla Cybertrucks

After this report circulated on Wednesday, the document was edited to remove the word ‘Tesla’. Now it simply states ‘armored electric vehicle’. Also, the federal government is set to receive $20 million worth of BMW SUVs.

Some say this shows a conflict as Elon Musk works to slash government spending as he provided benefits to himself with multiple contracts. His stake in Tesla accounts for a majority of his wealth, but SpaceX is the most important government contact.

Musk shared that he isn’t sure about Tesla getting $400 million and that nobody told him about it, at least. According to The Guardian, the document is only in the planning phase. It could be approved by the end of September.

The document first showed plans to buy Cybertruck models in December, one month after Trump won the election. Buying armored vehicles is normal for our government. But the purchases are often more transparent.

Also, I would suggest going to electric trucks that actually work. Come on, we’ve all seen videos of the Cybertruck getting stuck in snow while off-roading.
