Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak blasts Elon Musk and Tesla for its “miserable” driver experience
Regarding all-electric cars, Tesla has been a top choice for millions of drivers. This remains true, but the company is showing signs of slowing down, partly due to decreasing favor for its CEO, Elon Musk. Now, Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak is blasting Tesla and its vehicles for what he refers to as a “miserable” experience for drivers. Of course, this comes after the company faced numerous car recalls last year.
Steve Wozniak owns Tesla vehicles but says he’s had a poor experience and faced backlash for speaking out
Recently, Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak sat down for an interview with CNBC. He spoke about several topics, but one of the most notable centered around Elon Musk and Tesla vehicles. The clip begins, “Elon Musk- unfortunately, I’m biased against him because I own a Tesla.”
He then goes on to discuss how he has openly called Elon a liar over his full self-driving claims. Steve even says that Elon stole money from customers who believed Tesla vehicles would have full self-driving capabilities by 2016. He then said that his X account was banned after he publicly called out Tesla. Steve insisted that he never violated the platform’s terms and conditions in a way that would warrant a ban.
The clip continues, and Steve Wozniak begins to criticize Tesla vehicles for their quality. Notably, he calls out the software upgrades for the cars and says they always worsen the user experience. He continues, “Now it’s just miserable for user interface.” In fact, Steve called Tesla “the worst in the world” by that metric. Specifically, he discussed how he feels that nothing in Tesla cars makes sense and his problems with the menu system.
Naturally, Steve isn’t the first person to have concerns about the user interface in Tesla vehicles. Others have also called out the brand for the unwanted updates in its all-electric cars.
