Have you ever hit a pothole and thought that it sounded expensive? Most drivers can laugh that off. However, a Tesla Cybertruck owner faced a $34,000 repair bill after hitting a pothole which caused suspension damage.

Tesla Cybertruck driver faces $34k repair bill after hitting a pothole

The Tesla Cybertruck is supposed to be tough enough to survive the apocalypse. However, many drivers are losing confidence in this steel beast after minor problems lead to major repairs.

One owner claims that the Cybertruck is still an excellent truck after hitting a pothole causing a $34k repair bill. The driver was without his truck for four months due to the significant damage.

The driver won’t share how he was driving the Cybertruck, but the incident occurred after he hit a pothole on a washout road.

As a result, the rear suspension mounts broke and punched through the frame. Plus, the rare frame, front and rear steering racks, suspension at all four corners, bumpers, and parts of the bed had to be replaced.

It’s wild that this truck wasn’t declared totaled. Also, the repairs took a while because Tesla panels are difficult to get.

According to CarBuzz, the owner shared that people should still be astounded by how tough the truck is. It’s apparentlythe most amazing truck he’s ever had.

This makes me wonder if he’s ever had another truck before because my 2004 Ford Ranger could slam potholes and keep going.

The top mount for the suspension is small compared to other pickup trucks, but it’s supposed to support at least 5,000 lbs.

Unfortunately, the driver didn’t share his information, so I can’t ask for more details. I would like to know how fast he was going and the size of the pothole. But at the end of the day, hitting a pothole shouldn’t totally break a vehicle.
