levante
The Maserati Levante is a midsize luxury SUV model produced and sold by the Italian luxury vehicle manufacturer Maserati. The Levante is currently the only SUV model in the small Maserati vehicle catalog, which also consists of the Ghibli executive car, the MC20 super sports car, and the Quattroporte luxury sports saloon.
The Maserati Levante is named after a wind that blows from the Mediterranean Sea to the Strait of Gibraltar. The model originated with the Kubang concept car which debuted at the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show in Germany. A finalized model premiered at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland and then the 2016 New York Auto Show before being released in Europe and North America. The Maserati Levante Trofeo (a performance-focused/top-speed model variant) premiered two years later at the 2018 New York International Auto Show.
Still in its first generation, the Maserati Levante’s luxury SUV rivals include the Audi A8, the BMW X6, the Genesis GV80, the Land Rover Range Rover, the Mercedes-Benz GLE, and the Porsche Cayenne.
