Karma Automotive is an American automotive manufacturing company dedicated to producing luxury electric vehicles (EVs).
The Karma Automotive story starts with the founding of Fisker Automotive in 2007. Fisker developed the Fisker Karma plug-in hybrid (PHEV) sports car, which debuted in 2011. However, the company later declared bankruptcy in 2014 and closed down (though it was succeeded by Fisker Inc. in 2016), which led to the sale and acquisition of its trademarks and intellectual property.
Karma Automotive was founded in 2014 and began its development of the Karma Revero, which was essentially a remake of the Fisker Karma. The Revero debuted in 2016. This was followed by the Karma GS-6 (and its electric counterpart, the GSe-6) in 2021. Currently, Karma Automotive is focused on electrifying its lineup to produce a new generation of performance-focused sports car EVs.
