Some drivers might feel lucky if they crash near rescue vehicles. But a Florida driver was in his SUV when it suddenly got smashed between two ambulances as one was carrying a person to the hospital. They ended up needing even more ambulances.

Florida SUV driver gets sandwiched between two ambulances

This time, this accident wasn’t caused by the Florida man! A three-vehicle pileup was actually caused by an ambulance driver! They hit the back of a Nissan SUV and sent it into the back of another ambulance

I’ll break it down. Florida police officers shared that around 2:43 PM an Escambia County ambulance was heading west on State Road 173, North Blue Angel Parkway. It came to a stop in traffic near Longleaf Creek Drive.

According to Yahoo, it was driven by a 23-year-old Pensacola man. It was carrying a 51-year-old female passenger. Then a 51-year-old man stopped behind it in his Nissan SUV.

A second ambulance was being driven by a 28-year-old man with a 38-year-old passenger. The driver of the second ambulance rear-ended the Nissan.

The force of the crash sent the Nissan SUV into the back of the first ambulance. The impact sent glass and debris everywhere. Each vehicle became inoperable. While the ambulance drivers weren’t hurt, the Nissan driver was taken to a local hospital for evaluation.

Hopefully, the passengers in the ambulances who were on the way to the hospital didn’t get hurt! Getting in a wreck while you’re already in need of medical attention sounds like an extremely unlucky way to start the summer.
