Shakira is giving away her custom purple Lamborghini
All Shakira fans know she dated former soccer player Gerard Piqué for 11 years. When their long relationship ended, the “Hips Don’t Lie” singer was seen driving a customized matte purple Lamborghini Urus SUV.
On November 20, Shakira partnered with Univision to organize a giveaway to promote her new single, “Soltera.” The prize is the purple Lamborghini that helped her get through tough times.
“This car was a gift to myself as I began my single life, but I realized that what truly matters is human connection,” she wrote in a statement, quoted by Complex.
“The car, the clothes, the material things — they don’t transform us. It’s the people we love and the connections we build that truly make a difference.”
Shakira posted pictures of the car on her Instagram, showing off the custom white and lime green interior.
A Lamborghini Urus at the base trim level is $237,848 and can go up to $269,885 for the Performante edition. Even used, the Urus, which is the brand’s most “affordable” model, costs an average of $224,988.
So, how do you win her Lambo?
Shakira says all fans need to do is upload a video of themselves dancing to her new song on Instagram or TikTok. In the caption, they have to use the hashtags #ElCarroDeShakira. The giveaway started on November 20 and ends on November 29.
The singer will pick five of her favorite videos. Fans get to vote for the best, and the winner will be announced on December 6 on Despierta América.

Of course, many readers rolled their eyes at the fact that she bought an almost $300,000 car to help her feel better after a breakup. A good amount of people saw a powerful message in her statement.
“[Shakira] is giving away the car because she realized what’s important in life — human connection,” wrote a viewer.
Others pointed out that the “gift” may be a curse for some.
“The winner may be surprised at how cursed this gift will be. The taxes alone on the car would bankrupt a lot of people. Then the yearly taxes on it are several thousands of dollars and may be too high for most people to maintain. An oil change ranges from $400 to $2,000,” they wrote.
Another wrote people could win Shakira’s car and earn a pretty penny.
“Win it, sell it, make a nice profit,” wrote a reader.
