Get ready to RUMBLE! The 2025 Ram 2500 HD and 3500 HD have a new Cummins turbo-diesel engine. It packs a serious torquey punch as it makes off-roading and towing easier than ever.

Check out the revamped 2025 Ram 2500 HD and 3500 HD trucks. They provide stout power with the help of the new Cummins turbo-diesel engine.
The 6.7-liter inline-six engine cranks out 430 hp and 1,075 lb-ft of torque. The engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
If you would rather go for gas, then check out the 6.4-liter HEMI V8. It cranks out 405 hp and 429 lb-ft of torque. It’s paired with a different eight-speed automatic transmission.
With the Cummins diesel engine, the Ram 3500 HD can tow up to 37,090 lbs. Also, it can carry a payload of up to 6,560 lbs. With the HEMI V8 engine, this heavy-duty beast can tow up to 20,000 lbs.
According to Car and Driver, the Ram HD truck can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in under seven seconds. It’s expected to be quieter and smoother than before.
Other new features include fish-eye lower mirrors, blind-spot warnings for the entire trailer length, an exhaust brake, and digital rearview mirrors. Off-roading variants like the Rebel and Power Wagon have a winch and an electronic front anti-roll-bar disconnect.
Engine improvements include a bolt-on aluminum manifold for a longer intake, large exhaust valves, and a fuel pressure increase of 3000 psi to 32,000 psi total. It offers enhanced charge cooling and is more efficient.
