Biting a police officer usually doesn’t end well, but one Nebraska mom went for it anyways. She bit a police officer after being confronted about leaving her four-year-old in a freezing car at a truck stop so she could gamble inside.

Nebraska mom fights police after leaving her child in a freezing car

Brittany Clark, a 27-year-old mom in Lincoln, Nebraska, just wanted to relax at a truck stop with some ‘skill games’ These games are computer-based casino-type activities that allow players to win some money.

However, her gambling spree didn’t go as planned when police officers arrived. The Lincoln Police Department responded to reports of a four-year-old girl left unattended in a freezing car. Concerned residents reported the incident at Shoemaker’s Travel Center around 4:30 am.

Officers found Brittany’s daughter alone in the car with the radio blaring. The engine was turned off and one window was left cracked.

It was about 24 degrees outside at the time, so she could have frozen to death. To make matters worse, the little girl had soiled herself by the time the police found her and her skin was very cold to the touch.

Brittany ran out of the truck stop, claiming to the police that she left the engine running. But officers told her that wasn’t possible with the engine off.

According to 1011 Now, Brittany was playing games inside for roughly two hours. Surveillance videos show her leaving the building three times, but it’s unclear if she was checking on her daughter.

She didn’t go down for her crimes very easily. Brittany fought the officers during her arrest by biting one of the officers and kneeing him in the groin.

However, she faces a felony child abuse felony and a third-degree assault on an officer. She has a $10,000 bond and her daughter was taken into emergency custody.
