“Whoever was working their shift tonight at BP really messed up.” Kay, who posts under the TikTok handle kaykoski, shared the gas pump glitch. The clip went viral, amassing 7.8 million views and hundreds of thousands of likes. Why? Well, a bunch of Minnesota drivers got away with paying just 32 cents a gallon…until the boss realized what was happening.

As word spread, what started as a quiet discovery soon turned the BP gas station into a chaotic beehive

Kay walked over to a pump, showing the display. A group of men with a rollback truck filled a large caged cube container with fuel…more than 260 gallons. The bill? Just $85.82.

On the other side of the pump, another guy stood on a second rollback, filling a similar container.

On Instagram, a compilation account shared a bunch more drivers at the same BP gas station, taking full advantage of the “fluke” .32 cents a gallon pricing.

One motorist only needed slightly more than five gallons, and paid $1.74.

Reportedly, a local police officer, still in uniform, drove his personal minivan to the pump to fill it up before someone at BP corrected the price.

“6.95 to fill up my truck hell yeah,” another driver shared.

Yet another paid $3.91 for more than 12 gallons of fuel.

Eventually, Kay updated that a police SUV showed up and warned everyone rushing to get the literal deal of the century that the manager was on their way. “i’d hurry up and fill as much as you can,” Kay captioned the photo of the cruiser.

Was the cheap BP gas a literal steal?

In the end, there didn’t seem to be anything wrong with locals paying the asking price. Still, everyone assumes whoever set the pumps at .32 cents is in a load of trouble.
