Mike Tyson recently broke the internet with the hype surrounding a fight with Jake Paul. Despite officials calling the fight in favor of Paul, “Iron Mike” has a spectacular record of battering opponents in the ring. As you might imagine, that kind of success generated some serious money. And Mike Tyson loved to spend his earnings on the best cars the 90s had to offer. One of the celebrity’s cars in particular is among the most stunning supercars of all time.

Mike Tyson owned a long, low Jaguar XJ220, one of the wildest 90s cars ever

There are a handful of world-class supercars that earned their spot on the generic car posters of the 1990s. For starters, Bugatti rolled out the striking EB 110, a car so mold-breaking that world champion F1 driver Michael Schumacher added on to his collection. You also have the McLaren F1, a 90s car icon so fast, it set a top speed record that stood for over a decade.

However, champion boxer Mike Tyson turned his attention not to the Bugatti or the McLaren, but to the Jaguar XJ220. With a striking silhouette and a top speed of 220 mph, the XJ220 is still one of the fastest cars of all time. However, the striking 90s car doesn’t pack a 12-cylinder mill like its closest rivals. No, the XJ220 uses massive turbochargers and a 3.5L V6 to produce its 542 horsepower.

Interestingly enough, Mike Tyson reportedly bought the Jag after his famed 1997 match with Evander Holyfield. You know the one. Let’s say Tyson turned the boxing world on its ear. All joking aside, the disqualification must have prompted Tyson to seek the world’s best conciliation gift for himself.

According to Classic.com, the average value for a Jaguar XJ220 sits at right around $553,139. However, the top sale of the six-cylinder supercar was a cool $1.2 million. Even with a Lamborghini Diablo and a Ferrari F50 in the mix, the big cat is definitely the king of Tyson’s 1990s supercar collection.

Unfortunately for the champ, he filed for bankruptcy and sold many of his beloved cars in 2003. Worse yet, the stunning silver Jaguar was among the automotive casualties of Iron Mike’s downsizing.
