Reckless Michigan teen clocks 150 mph in high-speed police pursuit
This Michigan teen might have a fake driver’s license, but he’s got real NASCAR instincts. Police tried to pull him over at 126 mph. He floored it. The good news? Cops shut it down before anyone got hurt. The bad news? He wasn’t just reckless—he was dumb.
An 18-year-old from Kalamazoo, Michigan, was tearing down I-94 just after midnight on Saturday, March 15. It was late. The roads were empty. He decided to see what his car could do. Terrible idea. Even worse? Doing it on a Friday night when police are already out looking for drunk drivers.
The fastest way to get arrested
A Calhoun County Sheriff’s deputy clocked him at 126 mph near Albion. Lights on. Sirens blaring. That’s when most people accept their fate, pull over, and start planning their excuses. But not this guy. He punched it.
How fast did he go? 150 mph. That’s faster than most Teslas, Mustangs, and BMWs can even reach. And where was he planning to go? Nowhere. It’s not like the cops were going to say, “Oh, never mind, we lost him!” when they all have radios.
No license, no plan, no chance
Eventually, police boxed him in on 24 Mile Road near H Drive North. The chase ended without injury. That’s when officers made an even wilder discovery: The kid had a fake driver’s license.
So let’s get this straight—he failed the driver’s test but somehow piloted a car at 150 mph without crashing? Maybe he failed for a lead foot. Either way, he was arrested on felony and misdemeanor charges and taken to the Calhoun County Jail.
Michigan has a tragic teen speed problem
This isn’t the first time a Michigan teen made a terrible decision behind the wheel. As I previously wrote, another teenager hit 153 mph on a Michigan highway. His mother saw his speed while tracking her car and texted, “Slow the F— down!”Weeks later, he crashed at 105 mph, killing his best friend.
The kid in this story got lucky. He made every bad decision possible—speeding, running, carrying fake IDs—but he’s still alive. Hopefully, he learns something after surviving this string of horrible decisions.
This could have ended in disaster, but thankfully, nobody was hurt. Credit to the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office for stopping this kid before his heavy throttle foot propelled him into a tragedy. Now, he’s got plenty of time to rethink his life choices—from the Calhoun County Jail.
