Michigan woman steals repossessed SUV while causing $9k in damage
One Michigan woman loved her repossessed SUV so much that she should have kept making payments on it. Instead of paying to get it back, she stole it. In the process, she hit 100 mph and caused $9,000 in damage.
Woman steals her repossessed SUV and leads police on a wild chase
31-year-old Jasmine K. Dillard loved her repossessed SUV so much that she stole it back. However, she threw caution to the wind and ended up causing chaos.
Saginaw Township police officers responded to Best Towing at 3689 Fashion Square Blvd. after receiving reports of a damaged fence.
Upon reviewing the surveillance camera footage, they saw several people breaking through the fence of the repo lot and climbing in a black 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe.
Then the Tahoe sped away, crashing through a locked gate. According to M Live, prosecutors allege that this caused about $9,000 in damage.
Officers determined that the Chevy Tahoe was previously owned by Dillard. They later stopped the SUV on Interstate 675 and Dillared was behind the wheel.

Upon asking her to step out of the SUV, she sped off. She led police cars on chase while reaching speeds over 100 mph. Other drivers had to brake and swerve to avoid her. Eventually officers called off the dangerous pursuit.
But later, another police officer spotted the Tahoe sitting in the driveway at a local Saginaw residence. Officers quickly found and apprehended Dillard.
She was charged with unlawfully driving away a motor vehicle, malicious destruction of a building between $1,000 and $20,000, fourth-degree fleeing and eluding police, illegal entry, and reckless driving.
Now I have a feeling that it will be a long time before she sees that black Chevy Tahoe again.
