Lincoln has made some of the best cars to buy for those looking for luxury options. However, Lincoln vehicles have fallen out of favor with many buyers in recent years. Some people feel that the automaker’s more recent models are much less exciting than previous ones and that this class of vehicles has better options. Still, Lincoln has multiple nameplates that could be successful in today’s world.

The Lincoln Continental is one of its best vehicles

Regarding Lincoln vehicles, the Continental is one of the best, and it’s a massive part of the brand’s legacy. It hit the market in 1939 and quickly became a success as one of the best luxury cars to buy. Naturally, the Continental evolved over time, but it continued to be a spacious option for those looking for something to make a statement on the road. 

Sadly, as with many of the best Lincoln vehicles, the automaker put it out to pasture. This was in 2020 because the automaker’s customer base stopped buying the large sedan in favor of SUVs and other types of vehicles. Regarding its popularity, the Continental had seen a steep decline in the years following 2016. However, there has been talk that the automaker may bring it back, as the Continental was one of its flagship models. Many of the rumors say that a new model might be a hybrid.

The Lincoln Town Car

Lincoln has made several notable vehicles throughout its legendary run on the market. However, one of its best is the Town Car. In fact, still today, many people first think of this model when they hear the name Lincoln. The first model hit the market in 1981 as an evolution of the Continental. People loved this full-size luxury car, and it was quite popular during its run. There are still several examples of the Town Car on the road today. 

Sadly, this is another Lincoln vehicle that the market needs today. The automaker discontinued it in 2011 because most buyers had moved on from this style of large sedans. Still, with the proper changes, this is a model that could fit in today. Lincoln needs something new, and what better way to accomplish that than by putting a twist on an old favorite? 

Lincoln Versailles

The Lincoln Versailles is another vehicle that the brand could use today. It’s a sedan like the others on this list but a bit smaller as it’s more of a mid-size option. This name may be foreign to many today as the automaker hasn’t produced it since 1980. Notably, it hit the market in 1977. This was the first production vehicle in North America to feature halogen lights and clearcoat paint. Sadly, it was too similar to cheaper cars at the time and had poor sales as a result.
