A pickup truck driver is looking at a murder charge after she killed a man in Las Vegas. Police say she ‘intentionally’ hit the man with a Chevrolet Silverado after the two shared a short conversation. She then fled the scene in the large pickup truck, throwing lewd gestures at people as she did.

A Las Vegas woman driving a borrowed pickup truck ran a man over after a ‘brief interaction’ and police let her go after the fact

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officers arrested 23-year-old Mariana Armenta-Jauriqui for murder after she ran a man over and fled the scene. Armenta-Jauriqui had a brief interaction with a man at an intersection. According to a witness, she chased the man down in the pickup truck, deliberately changing directions and “intentionally” running him over.

8 News Now Las Vegas reports that the vehicle Armenta-Jauriqui was driving was a GMC pickup truck. However, images of the truck after police arrested the 23-year-old suggest that it was a late-model Chevrolet Silverado, one of the most popular pickup trucks in the country. Of course, the GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado are mechanical siblings and GM products. And both are more than capable of vehicular manslaughter.

After Armenta-Jauriqui ran the man over, she attempted to flee the scene. However, a witness followed her, sending the murderous pickup truck driver’s license plate details to a friend as she did. As brazen as it sounds, the witness told the police that Armenta-Jauriqui displayed her middle finger as a sign of disrespect for the witness.

Fortunately, police officers were able to pull over the Chevrolet Silverado in a construction zone sometime later. However, the police at the traffic stop were unaware of her participation in the hit-and-run. As a result, the officers let her go.

However, police eventually arrested the 23-year-old pickup truck driver and charged her with the murder of the man. To add to the lunacy of the situation, it wasn’t even her truck. She had borrowed the Silverado from an acquaintance.
