Hunters drive down a trail only to realize it isn’t a real road and accidentally flip their nice GMC pickup [Video]
“Are you going to make that?” Hunter Two poses to Hunter One, Zach. “No, I don’t think so,” Hunter One responds. The pair are heading down a wild road in a nice GMC pickup. It’s a beautiful fall day. They’re donned in full coverage, ready for the hunt. Seconds pass. “And: we’re stuck,” Hunter Two asserts. Hunter One hit a cliffy rut at the edge of the “trail,” tilting the truck way off-kilter. Unfortunately, it’s about to get a whole lot worse for them, even though Hunter Two can’t stop laughing. And while the jaunt down the path that wasn’t actually a truck-worthy road led to disaster, the pals somehow managed to see the humor in the event.
It all started with Hunter Two swearing (jokingly) to Zach that they’d hit a good trailhead appropriate to drive back home on. Despite Zach’s hesitation, Two claims that it’s either they follow the trail or they back the GMC pickup, which looks like it could be a Canyon Denali, all the way out. The thing is, Two can’t hold back his laughter, so we know there’s some lack of faith in what he’s telling his buddy. And as time passes, they both realize the road keeps narrowing, with rougher and rougher track.
They approach the hillside rut in the trail. “Are you going to make that?” Hunter Two asks. “No,” Hunter One says.
“Don’t go over the edge…you got four-wheel?” Two directs One to stop and switch to 4WD if the GMC is equipped. “And, we’re stuck. Don’t move anymore!”
“We’re going over the edge…”
While they’re strategizing, Hunter Two pans over to Hunter One, who’s eating a bag of chips and smiling.
A series of photos illustrate the GMC pickup flipping down the hill. It comes to rest against a set of trees.
“Are you, like, alight alright, physically? Zach?”
“What’s up?” Hunter One responds after opening the passenger side door. The side airbags blew. The windshield shattered. Zach stands in the cabin with the right front door opened vertically.
“I said if you gunned the gas, you’re gonna roll over…you didn’t believe me?” Hunter Two poses.
Thankfully, no one seemed hurt. The truck, though, looks completely totaled.
As they walk back to the trailhead for help with the flipped GMC pickup, Hunter One can’t help but notice a pretty rainbow right ahead of them.
The video has more than 280,000 likes. Commenters came to both criticize and admire.
