Did you catch the Jeep commercial during the Super Bowl? Harrison Ford swung at Ford by saying his Jeep Wrangler makes him happy, even though his name is ‘Ford’. But this ad might not have upset Ford Bronco drivers as intended.

Jeep and Harrison Ford diss the Ford Bronco, but fans laughed it off

To catch you up to speed, there was a two-minute Super Bowl ad where Harrison Ford discussed freedom and Jeep models.

He said that freedom was hearing another man’s engine roar and the silence of another’s. This was a reference to the Jeep Wrangler 4xe, which has a silent engine.

Also, you see a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon easily passing a slow-moving Ford Bronco on a trail. The Jeep driver looks so happy and confident while leaving the Bronco in the dust.

Then, Harrison Ford explains to do what makes you happy. He shared that his Wrangler makes him happy, even though his name is ‘Ford’.

But Bronco fans didn’t exactly need aloe for this burn. Instead, they laughed off the commercial. Ford North America Product Communications Director, Mike Levine, shared, “If you’re looking for me, I’m living rent-free in my Bronco, in Jeep’s head.

He said there is a lot of space to roam around in there. Also, other Bronco drivers feel as if the Bronco was the true star during the commercial. Owners took screenshots of the Bronco in the ad and plastered them all over the internet. They were proud.

The Ford Bronco and Jeep Wrangler are rivals and they will continue fighting. The Wrangler sold 151,164 SUVs in 2024 and the Bronco moved 138,150 units. So, the Wrangler is the winner, for now.
