Baltimore FedEx truck driver injured in carjacking
Baltimore police officers shared that a FedEx driver was injured during an armed carjacking on Friday afternoon. The incident occurred while the driver was delivering packages around Druid Hill.
The truck was parked on 1900 Druid Hill Avenue when suspects entered the vehicle. The driver pulled them out and a fight broke out.
One suspect pushed the driver down and flashed an item in the shape of a gun in his pocket. Then a second suspect jumped in the driver’s seat and drove off. The armed man got into a tan Ford sedan and followed the stolen truck.
Some police officers responded to the scene while others searched the area for the suspects. Paramedics treated the driver’s minor injuries at the scene.
Unfortunately, for the suspects, the FedEx truck was equipped with a GPS. Police were able to easily track it down. It was located at the 1400 block of North Parish Street with the help of a Baltimore County police helicopter.

They spotted four men taking the packages into houses and took them all in for questioning. According to WBAL, all of the stolen property was recovered. Each suspect was given a citation. The police have not released information about the suspects.
I’m wondering how old they are if all they got was a citation or if they really had weapons. Typically, teenagers are given a light slap on the wrist for stealing cars if the incidents aren’t violent.
However, fighting the FedEx driver and pushing him to the ground seems violent to me. Also, did the police find any weapons at the scene? I need more answers!
