Michigan man behind bars after repeatedly attempting to run women over
The Olympia Police Department arrested Miles Galen Dozier Alkins for allegedly trying to run women over with his SUV in public parks.
According to The Olympian, the 26-year-old Michigan man has repeatedly tried to hit women with his Toyota FJ Cruiser. The incidents occurred at Bigelow Park around 8:50 pm on November 10, and Olympia Park on November 14.
In Oympia Park, the 26-year-old and 34-year-old women were walking a dog together when they noticed a man standing by his SUV, and glaring at them. One woman asked what he was doing and he said he was listening to them.
Miles then yelled derogatory terms at them, and they continued walking the dog. Then he got in the SUV and chased them through the grass.
He yelled at them, saying that he was going to f****** kill them. The women ran to a home nearby and knocked on the door for help. This is when they called the police.

Officers spotted a man fitting their description sitting in a Toyota FJ Cruiser without license plates about five blocks away from the park. The women arrived on the scene later to positively identify him.
Upon questioning, Miles admitted to yelling at them but wasn’t trying to intimate anyone because he also had a dog. He said he wanted to talk to them about something he was entitled to speak about.
At first, he said the women threatened him over his living situation and felt obligated to address them. He admitted to driving over the grass in their direction.
Now, he is in custody and has been charged with two counts of second-degree assault and felony harassment/threat to kill.
