Stellantis and its cars have struggled quite a bit in recent years. However, this has especially been the case with Chrysler vehicles, as they have mostly fallen from prominence. Sure, the brand still makes its popular minivan, but it doesn’t offer much else. There are several vehicles in Chrysler’s history that could bring the automaker back to the forefront, and here are three that could be among the best cars to buy.

The Chrysler 300 is an icon that deserves another chance

It hasn’t been long since Chrysler put the 300 out to pasture. However, it’s a car some sorely miss, and the right changes could make it one of the best cars to buy. Being a full-size sedan, the Chrysler 300 is spacious, has a great look inside and out, and, most importantly, offers formidable power. These are just some of the reasons the car is a top choice for used car buyers.

For the sake of history, Chrysler released the first 300 in 1955. It featured a 5.3-liter Hemi V8 and had a maximum output of 300 horsepower. Sadly, the company discontinued it in 2023 due to poor sales and its desire to focus on EVs. According to Good Car Bad Car, it sold 13,169 units, which is a far cry from its more popular days. Still, this doesn’t mean buyers would be excited for a new one in just a few years.

The Chrysler Aspen

Full-size SUVs are still popular on the market because of the convenience they allow for. They are spacious and often come packed with tons of power. This is why Chrysler should consider bringing back the short-lived Aspen SUV. It would compete with the Dodge Durango in many ways, but it could still bring something different. In fact, it was really just a more premium version of the Durango. One of the things that made it unique at the time of release was that it had the option of a hybrid powertrain.

The Aspen, the company’s first SUV, joined the Chrysler stable of vehicles in 2007. Sadly, the last model year for Aspen was 2009 because it never gained sales momentum. Still, many believe it was ahead of its time, and perhaps more buyers would be interested in it today.

The Chrysler Airflow is one of the brand’s most iconic vehicles

One way to limit criticism about bringing back discontinued vehicles is to pick options many may not be familiar with. Enter the Chrysler Airflow, which, in many ways, was ahead of its time. The interesting thing here is that the automaker has already expressed interest in reviving the nameplate, as it used the car as a concept for its upcoming EVs.

The Chrysler Airflow hit the market in 1934. Unfortunately, sales weren’t impressive, and Chrysler discontinued it in 1937. Despite this, it is one of the most exciting Chrysler vehicles. Of course, it’s also easy to see that the Airflow inspired the PT Cruiser, another vehicle the brand should consider.
