Ohio woman has been stranded for several days after an unmarked tow truck stole her SUV
Millions of people become victims of car theft each year. Sometimes, the targets are individual owners. There are also instances of thieves attacking car showrooms. Sadly, one woman recently had her vehicle stolen by someone who appeared to be in the tow truck driving profession. However, there’s no record of it being towed.
Car theft is a massive problem, and it often leaves people with no recourse
Most people don’t believe they will become victims of car theft. Still, responsible vehicle owners will do all they can to prevent it from happening. According to Cleveland 19, Brittany Ealey‘s 2015 Nissan Rogue went missing on the morning of March 7th. Specifically, she says that an unmarked tow truck came and picked up the midsize SUV. It seems she may have been at work when the Nissan went missing on Delavan Avenue, which is on the east side of Cleveland. Now, more than a week later, she has no idea where her vehicle is.
Brittany spoke out after the suspected car theft. She told the outlet, “I’m not sure if it’s a company. It looks like a private vehicle.”
She believes this may have been a car theft because the SUV is not up for repossession. Additionally, there is no record of any companies towing it. She has filed a police report, but there have been no leads. Brittany added, “I don’t care if they leave it on the corner somewhere. I would like my vehicle.” It should also be noted that she has footage of the car being taken away, but it’s incredibly grainy. The Cleveland police are currently accepting tips from those with information about the missing Nissan Rogue.
