Angry trucker abandons co-driver, rips out GPS, and steals semi-truck
Some trucker drivers don’t have the best tempers. Learning how to handle stress is part of the job. One trucker got fired and totally lost it. He abandoned his co-driver, ripped out the truck’s GPS, and stole the semi-truck.
Fired trucker abandons co-driver, rips out GPS, and steals semi-truck
22-year-old Jamari Bars may have ruined his trucking career after getting fired. There was a chance that he could get hired by another trucking company if he had taken the news a bit better.
The trucker was fired on Thursday morning while over the road. A few hours later, the driving team stopped at a truck stop on Highway 34 near Interstate 5, so the co-driver could use the restroom.
Then Bars ripped the GPS out of the semi-truck and threw it out the window before abandoning his driving partner. Hopefully, the co-driver at least had his phone and wallet because he probably was stuck at the truck stop for hours.
After abandoning his co-driver, Bars disconnected the trailer and left it on the shoulder of Interstate 5. It’s unclear what they were hauling, but it could have been anything from a load of potato chips to high-end electronics.

According to CDL Life, the trucking company reported the semi-truck as stolen. Police officers quickly found Bars on southbound I-5 near Corvallis.
The trucking company must have felt a bit of holiday spirit in its heart. It decided not to press charges for the stolen semi-truck.
However, it did press charges for the stolen GPS. Bars wasn’t arrested but received a citation for second-degree theft.
Perhaps the trucking company could have waited until the load was complete or called the team back to home base before firing Bars. The load was probably late, and as a result, the trucking company may have had to pay a fine.
