I spent a week with the 2025 Nissan Armada after it got a major glow. It was recently redesigned to launch the third generation and there are significant improvements to make a note of.

5 wins for the 2025 Nissan Armada

You might not recognize the 2025 Nissan Armada after its complete redesign. But you’ll want to get to know this attractive SUV with its sleek style, luxury comfort, and impressive performance.

But first here are a few drawbacks to consider:

  • The headrests in the third row are pretty low and land awkwardly in your mid-back.
  • The tech is advanced but confusing and could benefit from more physical controls.
  • The 2025 Nissan Armada is thirsty. It gets an EPA-estimated 16 mpg in the city and up to 20 mpg on the highway.

1. The 2025 Nissan Armada is fun to drive

The 2025 Nissan Armada has a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter engine with 425 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. It helps the Armada accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in about 6.0 seconds

Plus, the nine-speed automatic transmission is smooth and responsive. Confident braking boosts confidence and the direct steering provides a sense of control.

But you can relax with the semi-autonomous driving system. Place your hands on the wheel and the Armada will handle the rest with its intelligent adaptive cruise control and lane-centering assist systems.

    2. The 2025 Armada is comfortable

The 2025 Nissan Armada feels like a luxury SUV. It effortlessly glides over cracks and broken chunks of pavement to provide a smooth ride. Plus, the interior is extremely quiet and peaceful at highway speeds.

The seats in the front and second rows are spacious and well-padded for hours of comfort during road trips and commutes. The third row is also spacious for adults around 5’1”, but the head rests sit too low.

      3. The Armada is spacious

It feels like the new Armada is bigger on the inside than the outside. It has an abundance of cargo and passenger space. There are 20.4 cubic feet of cargo space behind the third row, 56.3 cubes behind the second row, and 97.1 cubes overall.

Plus, there’s a pass-through storage bin under the gear shifter, a built-in bin on the cargo floor, and a massive center console. Storage for personal items can be found in each row.

If you have extra gear, place it on top with the use of the available roof rails. Plus, the beefcake can tow up to 8,500 lbs.

        4. The Armada has serious off-roading chops

The adaptable air suspension can lift the 2025 Nissan Armada’s ground clearance to 9.6 inches to tackle off-roading challenges. Plus, the Pro-4X model has hill descent control and 20-inch wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires.

I love the tow hooks and the added confidence from the protective underbody skidplates. The Armada feels comfortable and at home in slick conditions. It has plenty of torque for steep climbs and is resistant to sliding in deep, red mud with snow and ice.

The 360-degree camera views are extremely helpful. I wish I could use them at speeds over 15 mph. The coolest view involves making the SUV transparent so you can see exactly where each tire is.

          5. The interior is lavish

The 2025 Nissan Armada has a high-quality interior with premium materials such as available massaging front seats, quilted leather upholstery, ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof, wooden accents, and attractive orange accent stitching.

The leather-covered surfaces feel soft yet durable for a sense of sophisticated quality and it’s all tied together with customizable ambient lightning. The sunroof is delightfully massive and inviting.

Plus, the plush carpeting can hold up to mud and icy sludge. Overall, the interior is comfortable, dry, and inviting for the entire family. Just put the shortest kids in the back.
