Oklahoma woman left with nothing after thieves take her truck and tiny home

Monica Badzinski was living her best life in Oklahoma with her tiny home and truck on 10 acres of land until thieves took everything she had.

She purchased her dream home in 2022, but it was recently taken in the middle of the night. While Bazinski was away, her neighbors noticed that the gate to her property was left wide open. The familiar site of Monica’s tiny house and truck was empty.

Four men were caught on camera with a UTV and pickup truck. They busted through the gate and used a saw to cut through her truck lock.

Then they cut the straps to the tiny house and electrical connections. The men drove off with her truck and home. All she has left is a cement slab, broken cinderblocks, and cut wires.

Monica offers a $500 reward for the identity of the thieves. It’s unclear if local police officers have any leads. But she believes the house has to be nearby because UTVs typically can’t drive very far.

To make matters worse, she has only been able to enjoy three months in her small home. According to AOL, she was in an expensive legal battle because her inspection company shared that proper inspections were never completed.

It was unclear if the house was safe, and she has been trying to hold the builders responsible. But they never responded and she was advised to get out of the home.

Her legal team recommended selling the land to cover various fees. The theft of her home complicates her case against the builders. Plus, insurance companies primarily cover unoccupied homes if her home could even be considered to be safe and insurable.
