The 2025 Toyota Tundra adds 2 modern features to stay relevant
Sure, the Toyota Tundra might be trailing rivals but it’s not giving up. It’s going against the more successful trucks with new modern features to improve comfort and convenience. However, other trucks like the Ford F-150 have already offered these features for years.
What’s new for the 2025 Toyota Tundra?
The 2025 Toyota Tundra has decided to target drivers in the luxury truck market by adding two modern features. It’s gaining massaging front-row seats with knee-lift assist and a power tailgate to the Platinum trim level.
However, these aren’t exactly advanced features to have. For years, the Ford F-150 has featured massaging seats and a power tailgate.
Sometimes the massagers get stuck in awkward positions and poke your back. Other vehicles like the Lincoln Aviator and Hyundai Palisade have better massaging systems in my opinion. I can’t wait to test the ones in the Toyota Tundra.
Also, the power tailgate is pretty much just a fun party trick for me. You can use the key fob to control it with the F-150. However, it is convenient if your arms are too tired to close the tailgate or if you need to raise and lower it from a distance.

Other nice Platinum trim goodies include heated/ventilated front/rear seats, a digital rearview mirror, a head-up display, ambient interior lighting, a wireless phone charger, a heated steering wheel, and a panoramic sunroof.
The 2025 Toyota Tundra has a new TRD Rally Package that builds upon the TRD Off-Road model. It adds retro tri-color graphics, unique wheel caps, body-colored door handles, a tailgate spoiler, accent stitching, dual black exhaust tips, a 14-inch infotainment screen, and faux-leather upholstery.
In 2023, the Tundra sold 125,195 models. The 2023 Ford F-150 sold 750,789 trucks, the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 sold 555,148 units, and the 2023 Ram 1500 moved 539,477 models. Hopefully, the new Tundra features will help it catch up.
