Buckle up, because this 2024 Infiniti QX50 review covers everything you need to know in a few seconds. If I could sum up this SUV in one word, it would be ‘cozy,’ because it’s extremely comfortable. But let’s jump in.

Is the 2024 Infiniti QX50 worth buying?

Yes, the 2024 Infiniti QX50 is worth buying if you’re looking for a compact SUV with luxury comfort, style, and power. It starts at $41,000 and the top-spec Autograph trim increases the starting price to $58,050.

Potential Infiniti QX50 drawbacks:

  • The tech is outdated and a little confusing
  • The interior storage spaces are quite small

While the QX50 has an attractive and modern style, inside and out, the tech lags behind. This SUV has two screens. One for the infotainment system and another for the navigation and camera views.

The graphics are dated and the camera quality is low, although the 360-degree display is very convenient. I couldn’t connect my phone to Bluetooth without a cord. Also, the HVAC controls have buttons instead of dials.

Flipping through menus to adjust vehicular settings could be more straightforward. But the head-up display and modern safety features were impressive.

The center console, glove box, and door pockets are very tight. Plus, the cupholders are tiny. Only average bottles of water can fit.

Other than that you can access 31.4 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats and up to 65.1 cubes overall. That’s an excellent amount of space, and extra storage bins are under the cargo floor in the rear.

How does the QX50 drive?

The 2024 Infiniti QX50 has a standard 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 268 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in about 6.7 seconds according to Edmunds

I felt like it had a little more hustle. Its willingness to get off the line is noticeably better in Sport mode compared to Comfort and Eco mode. Plus, steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters enhance its precision.

The engine can sound wheezy at times, primarily under bursts of harder accelerations. I find the brakes to be extremely confident and the steering is well-balanced. Also, the standard AWD system provides an excellent distribution of power in slippery conditions.

This isn’t one of the most athletic SUVs in the bunch, but it corners well enough for an engaging experience. Plus, its size and 18.2-foot turning radius are extremely convenient.

Does the Infiniti QX60 have a nice interior?

The Infiniti QX50 interior is surprisingly attractive and upscale with a well-planned layout. The suede fabric, leather-covered surfaces, alternating shades of brown and beige, and genuine wood accents create a welcoming sense of class and style.

The quilted leather seats have plenty of adjustment controls, even for lumbar support. Also, the seat bolstering isn’t too tight while remaining effective. I enjoyed the plush carpeting that’s easy to clean, despite often preferring all-weather rubberized mats.

Everything you need is easily within reach, limiting distractions. Best of all, the panoramic sunroof is massive with an excellent amount of shading to prevent harsh rays from being too bright.

However, taller folks may feel cramped in the rear. At 5’1” I had plenty of space behind average-sized adults in the front. But leg space is limited and there is only room for four passengers.

Is the Infiniti QX50 comfortable?

Yes, the 2024 Infiniti QX50 is extremely comfortable. I’m in Asheville, NC, which was recently mostly destroyed by Hurricane Helene.

Most of the roads are chewed up, but I was only distracted by a bumpy ride once. The suspension is extremely smooth. At highway speeds, the interior is peaceful and quiet.

The automatic climate control system intelligently responds to exterior weather conditions to keep you cool on 80-degree afternoons and warm during frigid mornings.

I was impressed by how quickly the QX50 heats up and clears ice off the windshield and mirrors. It goes from being cold to rather toasty in minutes. The heated and ventilated seats are very strong.

Plus, your settings are saved between uses. If you leave the ventilated seats on before running into a store, they stay on once you fire up the engine again. You don’t have to constantly remake your adjustments while running errands.

Overall, the Infiniti QX50 is a well-rounded, luxurious bargain. It’s engaging, sophisticated, and comfortable. However, it’s time for modern tech and better storage solutions.
