The 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer Battles the 2022 Cadillac Escalade and 2022 Lincoln Navigator for Luxury Status
The 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer is here, and by all accounts it’s a magnificent SUV. This latest incantation of the Jeep Grand Wagoneer blends what everyone loved about the popular SUV decades ago with the features and luxury that people are willing to pay for today. Just how nice is the 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer? It’s battling the 2022 Cadillac Escalade and the 2022 Lincoln Navigator for top luxury SUV status. Let’s see which three-row SUV wins the battle.

The 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer costs more than the 2022 Cadillac Escalade or the 2022 Lincoln Navigator
The 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer is the most expensive of the three large luxury SUVs, starting at $87,845. If you decide to upgrade, you could get the Series II $93,995, or even the Jeep Grand Wagoneer Obsidian for $98,995. The most luxurious of the Grand Wagoneer is the Series III, which starts at $103,995.
The 2022 Cadillac Escalade, on the other hand, starts at $76,295. Higher trim levels include the Premium Luxury for $89,490, as well as the Premium Luxury Platinum and Sport Platinum, which each go for $103,240.
The standard 2022 Lincoln Navigator is more expensive than the 2022 Escalade, but still cheaper than the Grand Wagoneer, at about $80,000, though exact pricing hasn’t been released yet. The most expensive 2022 Navigator, the Black Label L, could come in at about $105,000.
The Jeep Grand Cherokee wins in infotainment
Infotainment in the Grand Wagoneer, Escalade, and Navigator is no joke. According to Kelley Blue Book, the 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer comes with 45 square inches of screens, including a 12.3-inch digital instrument screen and a 12.1-inch infotainment display. There’s even a 10.25-inch screen just for air conditioning and seat heat.
The 2022 Cadillac Escalade boasts three curved OLED displays that includes the driver’s gauge cluster and the infotainment system. It also includes an augmented-reality navigation system and you could opt for a rear-seat entertainment package, which is perfect if you have little kids you want to keep entertained on long trips.
The 2022 Lincoln Navigator has a 13.2-inch touchscreen and plenty of USB ports, as well as a 5G hotspot. You don’t have to choose between Apple CarPlay and Android Auto in the 2022 Navigator, as it comes with both. It comes with a 14-speaker Revel system, though you could opt for the 28-speaker Revel Ultima 3d.
The 2022 Lincoln Navigator has the smallest engine of the three SUVs
The 2022 Lincoln Navigator has a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 engine that can make 450-hp and 510 lb-ft of torque. This engine is the only option for the 2022 Navigator. The Jeep Grand Wagoneer, on the other hand, has a 6.4-liter V8 capable of 471-hp and 455 lb-ft of torque. That engine is matched to an eight-speed automatic transmission and a payload capacity of 1,450. And the 2022 Cadillac Escalade has a 6.2-liter V8, though you could also get a 3.0-liter turbocharged I6 diesel engine.
The 2022 Escalade is technically the smallest in size of the three SUVs, but it’s still massive, with a 120.9-inch wheelbase. On the other hand, the 2022 Lincoln Navigator takes second, with a wheelbase of 122.5-inches. The 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer has the slight advantage in this category, at 123-inches. It’s also the longest SUV, at 214-inches, which is three inches longer than the Escalade and four inches longer than the Navigator.
The 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer certainly costs more than the 2022 Cadillac Escalade and the 2022 Lincoln Navigator, but it’s money well spent (assuming you have the money). Its larger size, more powerful engine, and top-notch infotainment system makes the 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer the most luxurious of these three luxury SUVs.
